We’re looking forward to a fizzing beverage auction with champagne accounting for over 20% of the lots. Many of the vintages of the 1990s and 2000s are now at their peak, with the perfect balance of acidity and fruit. As well as well-known prestigious producers, the auction also includes champagne from many smaller growers with a clear village character.
The magnificent 1996 vintage features in a large number of lots.” New, modern winemaking in Bordeaux is represented by a number of châteaux, with wine from the best vintages of the 2000s, including 2005, 2009 and 2010. In this case, modern winemaking means more elegant wines with excellent fruit and a lesser amount of new oak during aging.
Here we also find early “ready to drink” wines from the middling years of 2011 and 2012. In among the classic malt whiskies, you’ll even find as unique an item as a Swedish punsch from the early twentieth century.

Johan has 30 years’ experience of exclusive wines, drinks tastings, and advising on wine storage. He is also the author of “Olivoljeguiden” (The Olive Oil Guide) and has worked both as a consultant in the food industry and a sommelier. Johan values wines ahead of the auctions.
Patrik is a whisky enthusiast, back in the early 1990s he was one of the co-founders of the now closed Stockholm Single Malt Society. He has 20 years of experience from Systembolaget including tutoring drinks tastings since the early 2000s. Patrik is also a published archaeologist.
